Families For Life Australia Logo (Click to go to their site) Families For Life Australia (FFLA) (www.familiesforlife.org.au)

Unwilling to stand by and passively watch homes fall apart, FFLA instills life and hope into marriages and families around the globe. We are committed to changing the world, one living room at a time.

Our mission: To build powerful lighthouse homes that:
Radiate - Jesus as the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6 I am the way, the truth and the life.)
Reflect - the image of God through a Godly marriage (Eph 5:25-33 Husbands, love your wives …)
Raise - the standard by being obedient to God’s word (John 14:15 If you love me, you will obey what I command.)
Reveal - the hope and power and healing of the gospel (Rom 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.)
Reach - all couples in our nation with God’s blueprint for family (Matt 28:19-20 Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations …..)
Reproduce - “seed” that will multiply to build a legacy for the generations (Ps 100:5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever. his faithfulness continues through all generations.)

Empowering people and making stronger communities.

Mission Australia makes a powerful and sustainable difference to individuals, families and communities by giving them back the support they need to get back on track and lead more fulfilling lives.

We do this by offereing more than 320 innovative services in metropolitan, rural and regional Australia, in every State and Territory.

What we do and why we do it.

The face of charity is changing. No longer are we content to simply rescue people from their problems: we also aim to empower them with the support, skills and self-confidence to embrace life, and take their place in the community.

Mission Australia is a non-denominational Christian organisation with a vision to spread the love of God and meet human need.

With more than 320 services across metropolitan, rural and regional Australia, in every State and Territory, Mission Australia aims to empower disadvantaged and isolated individuals, families and communities by giving them the support they need to get back on track, and lead more fulfilling lives.

Our services are centred around:
·Family support initiatives for families and children in need;
·Youth initiatives for disadvantaged young people;
·Housing support initiatives for homeless people and those at risk of homelessness;
·Employment and training initiatives for the long-term unemployed; and
·Community building initiatives that help strengthen and empower entire communities.

Where people are in need, Mission Australia seeks to make a powerful, sustainable difference.

Our innovative community and employment programs inspire self-confidence and hope, and enable people to tap their own resources to pursue a positive and independent future.

For more than 140 years, Mission Australia’s vision has been helping the nation’s most disadvantaged individuals and communities out of crisis and into security.

Now, at a time when many Australians and their communities are facing a new set of social problems, Mission Australia is continually developing contemporary services to help people in need address these emerging issues.

Dads Uni [ www.dasuni.com ]

Dads Uni is a free website dedicated to training and equipping fathers throughout our nation in one of the most fulfilling, yet challenging areas of our lives as men.

Fatherhood is a high calling, a role that has eternal consequences, and yet it does not come with an owner's manual. Dads Uni does not claim to have 'all the answers', but hopes to be able to assist fathers in some basic guidelines or parameters for fathering. Because every family is unique, and every father an individual, we realise that you may not always agree with everything that you see on this site, but we encourage you to 'take what you like and leave the rest'.

This teaching ministry is based in Brisbane, Australia and is developing parenting courses, seminars and conferences for fathers and fathers to be, to assist them in raising their children. "52 Tips For Fathers" is currently being developed as our basic fathering course with both practical and biblical insights for those who have a desire to improve their fathering skills. Using the elements of Understanding, Nurture and Impartation, Dad's Uni is confident we can assist fathers' in being a blessing to the children, with which they have been entrusted.

It is our hope that as a father, you might be encouraged and find keys to assist you in your primary role.

There is no doubt that fatherhood has many challenges along the way, but it is also comforting to know that there is wisdom available for those who have a desire to learn

Directions Tas [ www.directionstas.com.au ]

Welcome to Directions Tasmania!
  • Encouraging existing men’s groups across the State of Tasmania.
  • Creating a safe place where men can express themselves
  • Empowering men to understand who they are.
  • Enabling men to unlock their potential within
  • Encouraging self-esteem
  • Helping men in their search for significance
  • Elevating men to their rightful positions as husbands and dads
It may come as something of a surprise but the fact is today the roles of many men are not clearly defined. As a result some men have lost their way; many of these men come from Christian families and are desperate to be valued again. Fathers are struggling to set good examples for their children; husbands are failing to treat their wives with dignity and respect, while sons are not honouring their parents.

DirectionsTas is committed to teaching in a relaxed atmosphere where men can express their point of view in a safe environment to tell their story. We have found that often attitudes and behaviours change as they are able to share honestly their situation.

It is our hope that as a father, you might be encouraged and find keys to assist you in your primary role. There is no doubt that fatherhood has many challenges along the way, but it is also comforting to know that there is wisdom available for those who have a desire to learn.

Directions Tas run the following events:

  • Father/Son mystery bus trips
  • Swansea Retreat
  • Fortnightly Mens Groups
