Men's Advancement Network

Men's Advancement Network is committed towards strengthening family relationships, despite sometimes acrimonious relationship breakdowns. Male specific support programs are developed and implemented with the highest integrity, care and confidentiality.

Fathers are honoured in a non-judgmental and friendly environment. Men's Advancement Network aims to support, advocate and empower men to assist with life transitions and minimize the impact of parental conflict on children by promoting the ethos of parallel parenting.

Parallel Parenting Logo 10 week Parallel Parenting Program - workshops for non resident fathers to increase parenting conflict awareness, improve communication with children and ex partners.
Advocacy/Co-operative Parental Care Agreements - provide advocacy, support and parenting plan proposals to resident parent to facilitate conciliation and agreement for all parties.
Parenting Program - outlines childhood development, the role of the adult, responsibilities and consequences, discipline boundaries, etc.
Children's Contact Supervision Service - contact visits - supervision as required
One to One Counselling - relationship issues, life transitions, change, conflict management and re-partnering
Mentoring / Support Program - provide linkages for isolated men.
Linkage and Referral - we provide an extensive linkage and referral service

Services are provided in the evenings and Saturdays to complement and not restrict program participation.

MENDS is developer of the breakthrough program Strategies for Separated Men, a 12 week psycho-educational (practical adult-learning based upon proven psychological principles) program designed to address mens' acute needs in the traumatic period after a significant relationship has ended.

MENDS programs are distinctive in that they address the whole man: his mind, body, key relationships, and his rights and responsibilities.

MENDS is innovative, in that it addresses a pressing need scarcely touched by existent service providers. It has been received to resoundingly positive comment by a range of observers in this area.

Since 1993, Focus on the Family Australia has been strengthening families and communities through its radio programs, preventative education programs, the provision of counselling and referral, as well as providing a full range of resources for families.

Today the organization has grown to impact close to one million people monthly through its daily radio programs being broadcast by almost 300 stations, training programs, resources and newsletters.

Over the past five years the How to Drug Proof Your Kids (DPYK) program has impacted 40,000 parents in Australia and is now reaching other parts of the world. The program has been exported to Canada, the United Kingdom, France and New Zealand.

Along with DPYK, Focus has developed contemporary, highly effective programs, such as ‘No Apologies,’ ‘Heritage Builders,’ and ‘Bringing Up Boys.’

The number of trained facilitators has also increased dramatically. From 69 trainers in 1998, increasing to over 2,000 trainers by 2005, we have seen an increase of almost 3000% in just six years.

Our Vision is to strengthen families in Australia.

Our Mission is to equip and encourage families to experience hope and fulfilment by providing quality programs, resources, events, crisis counselling and referral.

The Village Well is a non-profit community service agency administered by a Committee of Management.

The Village Well Counselling Centre is staffed by trained counsellors from a range of disciplines using a variety of therapeutic styles. Staff hold a high regard for each person's dignity, freedom and beliefs, and recognise each person and their life situation as unique. Recognising this, our aim is to develop, encourage, strengthen and support individual and relational growth in ways that are consistent with each persons need.

The Village Well Counselling Centre is run by an interdisciplinary team which includes helping professionals with backgrounds and training in psychology, social work, pastoral care and education.

The New Warrior Training Adventure.

We are a progressive men's organization striving to be increasingly inclusive and affirming of cultural differences especially with respect to faith, age, color, class, sexual orientation, gender, ability, ethnicity, and nationality.

The ManKind Project is an organization of men working together to improve their lives and help other men. The New Warrior Training Adventure is where this starts. The training tests the participant physically, mentally, and emotionally. It invites the participant to take a hard look at his life at what is working and at what is not and to transcend his limitations.

The program brings clarity, knowledge, awareness, love and purpose to a person's life. We remove old imprints from the past, which are no longer working and free you to live the life you want to live. To do this, we focus on the 4 aspects of human life being

Emotional, Mental, Physical and Spiritual and help you to achieve balance and enlightenment in your life.

A service in Western Sydney aimed at supporting fathers in developing and maintaining their valuable family/child relationships.

The FSS run information workshops for separated fathers, support groups, fathering after separation courses as well as 'I'm A Dad' about fathering children 0 - 5 years of age. Another program run by the FSS is called Keeping Children Safe (Teaching protective behaviours to children).

MensTime provides a variety of perspectives for participants to examine and weigh the usefulness of ` in their lives. MensTime offers relevant and practical groups for men. Sessions are informal, interactive and fun!

MensTime facilitators are mature men with plenty of life experience.

MensTime is approved and subsidised by the Commonwealth Department of Family and Community Services (FaCS) to provide programmes for men, therefore fees are minimal.

Workplace seminars
MensTime provides free workplace seminars to organisations on issues affecting men, such as balancing work and family, stress management and conflict.

MensTime is run by Anglicare WA.

Fathers Day Weekend 2008, Dads & Kids Camp

Registrations are closing soon for Camp Connect's 6th Fathers Day Weekend Dads & Kids Camp. It is to be held from 5 - 7 September, 2008. The venue is Stringybark Lodge in Gembrook.
