Emergency...Deal With It (www.ambulance.vic.gov.au/elearning)
Emergency...Deal With It - Teaching children how to respond to medical emergencies effectively.
What’s the first thing you should do when faced with assisting injured people at home, work or on the road? If you are unsure what the correct answer is, do you think your children would know? To assist children to deal with emergencies confidently, the Metropolitan Ambulance service [MAS} has developed a computer game to teach students in grade 4 and upwards what to do in such situations.
Called “Emergency…Deal With It”, the game guides students through the correct performance of First Aid and when and how to call an ambulance via scenarios such as a fall in the garage and a car accident.
Emergency…Deal With It is available as a free download from www.ambulance.vic.gov.au/elearning or on Cd by contacting Community Education & Development at community.education@mas.vic.gov.au
