ACCA Latest NewsAnnual General Meeting (November 2004)Date: Tuesday November 30, 2004.
As we are a registered not for profit organisation, we are required to elect a working committee. This will take place on the night. If you are interested in becoming a part of this organisation and having a say in where it is heading, nominate yourself or have someone else nominate you for a committee position. Memberships will be able to be taken out on the night. The funds from these help the organisation to keep our program prices to a minimum. Also on the night you will hear about the various initiatives that we are going to put in place to expand the range of programs that we run. Ferntree Holden Sponsorship (July 2004)Ken and his team at Ferntree Gully Holden have very generously provided funding for both some Dads & their Kids to attend one of our programs. this provides an opportunity that may otherwise have been missing for some to attend one of our programs. Fathers Day 2004 Program - A Huge Success (September 2004)The Fathers Day Weekend, 2004 programs conducted over two weekends were a huge success. We conducted our inaugural Dads Only Workshop Day on August 28, 2004 at the Mountain Valley Centre, Boronia. This was followed up by the Dads & Kids Weekend Camp over the Fathers Day Weekend at Wombat Corner Camp, Emerald. We even had a family of four drive down from Queensland to experience what a Camp Connect program is all about. Click here to find out more and to view pics. Get a New Life (July 2004)Is the title of a just released book written by Kaye Fallick about how to change the way you live. It features an article about ACCA. Memberships - Support ACCA by becoming a member (July 2004)For non-profit organisations, often the only income stream they get in order to run the programs they do is through supporters taking out memberships. There are two different membership options available. Click here for further details. Welcome Richard & Doug to the ACCA team (January 2004)We welcome Richard Yiap to the ACCA team. Richard is the founder of the Australian Fatherhood Academy. Richard has devoted many years working with boys and men. As such, he has pioneered and developed a multi-level program of Father & Son camps that have achieved amazing long lasting results. Doug, along with his son Tod were attendees of our inaugural program back in September, 2003. Doug has been very keen to keep the social aspect of the program going and as such will be helping to set up a calendar of social events. There will be a combination of both Dads Only & Dads & Kids events. Camp Mallana Funding (December 2003)We have just received funding from the Camp Mallana Trust for Dads interested in registering into a Camp Connect Program and experiencing genuine financial hardship.
